The investigation is designed to provide information on the behavior of a pendulum,
i.e. a small mass hanging from a string or a thin bar and free to oscillate
on a plane.
The idea is to make a guided tour through pendulum motion, non restricted to
small oscillations, comparing it to the motion of a simple harmonic oscillator
and observing how its features are affected by the choice of the various system
components.
